PayMaya QR Payment Guide for Businesses
QR code payments have become the dominant contactless payment method in the Philippines, driven by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas's national QR Ph standard. PayMaya B2B integrates with QR Ph Person-to-Merchant payments, giving merchants a fast, low-cost, and universally accepted way to collect payment from any bank or e-wallet user in the country.
What Is QR Ph?
QR Ph is the national QR code standard promoted by the BSP that enables interoperability between all participating financial institutions. This means a customer using BDO, BPI, GCash, or any other BSP-regulated app can scan your PayMaya B2B merchant QR code and pay you directly – without you needing a separate agreement with each provider.
How to Get Your PayMaya Merchant QR
Register for a Maya Business account through Maya Business Manager. Once activated, your unique merchant QR code is generated automatically. Download and print it for display at your physical counter, or save the digital version to share on your website, social media pages, or messaging groups.
How Customers Pay
A customer opens their preferred banking or e-wallet app, selects the QR payment option, scans your displayed code, enters the amount (or you can pre-set the amount using the PayMaya app), and confirms the transaction. The merchant receives an instant notification and the sale is recorded in the Business Manager dashboard.
Zero Hardware Required
Unlike card terminals, QR payment acceptance requires no physical hardware beyond a printed or displayed QR code. This makes it ideal for micro-entrepreneurs, market vendors, pop-up stores, and any business that needs flexible point-of-sale capability without capital expenditure on equipment.
Transaction Fees and Settlement
PayMaya B2B offers competitive QR payment processing rates. Settlement timelines and applicable merchant discount rates are disclosed upon account activation. Volume-based pricing may be available for high-transaction merchants – contact the PayMaya B2B sales team for enterprise rate negotiations.
